What Is The Meaning Or Definition Of Sexual Behavior: Sexual behavior refers to actual sexual acts performed by the individual. Example: “I have sex with the same gender.” Sexual identity and sexual behavior are both related to sexual orientation. Sexual identity and sexual behavior may be similar but are not the same. Sexual identity refers to a person’s identification of themselves, that is, how one thinks of oneself in terms of to whom one is romantically or sexually attracted. Sexual identity may also refer to sexual orientation identity, that is, when people identify or disidentify with a particular sexual orientation, or choose not to identify with any sexual orientation. Sexual behavior refers to the actual sexual acts performed by the individual. Sexual orientation refers to attractions, attachments, fantasies, and longings toward persons of the opposite sex or gender, the same sex or gender, to both sexes or more than one gender, or nobody. An individual may or may not express their sexual identity or orientation in their behaviors. Sexual identity can also define a person's perception of their own sex instead of their sexual orientation.
