Transexual Person Meaning Definition

“Transexual” is also sometimes referred to as “Trans-Sexual” with a hyphen, or “Trans Sexual” with a space, as some other forms

What Is The Meaning Or Definition Of Transexual Person: The term “transexual” is derived from “trans,” which means “across from or on the other side of,” and “sexual,” which means “related to sex,” hence, “tran-sexual” literally means “a person who feels like the opposite sex.” The term “transexual” is used to describe a person who emotionally and psychologically experiences a gender identity that is inconsistent with, or not culturally associated with, their assigned sex and wishes to transition to a gender with which they identify permanently. Transexual usually seek medical assistance, including hormone replacement therapy and other sex reassignment therapies. Such surgeries help them alter their bodies to align their body with their identified sex or gender. Transsexuals transform their bodies hormonally and surgically to match their inner sense of gender or sex. They usually go through Gender Reassignment Surgery (GRS) to change the sexual organs one was born with to that of a different gender. Transexual people try to match their bodies more closely to their gender identity. They, therefore, transform into a gender that they’ve always felt they’ve been. Transsexual is actually a subset of transgender. However, some transsexual people reject the label of transgender.
