What Is The Meaning Or Definition Of Monosexual / Monosexuality: The term “monosexual” is derived from “mono,” which means “one,” and “sexual,” which means “related to sex,” hence, “mono-sexual” literally means “sexual attraction or interest in one sex or gender.” The term “monosexual” or “monosexuality” is used to describe people who experience sexual and romantic as well as emotional and aesthetic attraction towards people of one sex or gender. Monosexuality typically includes people who are exclusively and solely heterosexual, or homosexual, that is, either gay or lesbian. Hence, heterosexuality and homosexuality are the most common forms of monosexuality. In other words, a monosexual person may be attracted to either the same sex as themselves, or the opposite sex. Some monosexuals identify as being heterosexual, while others identify as homosexual.
