What Is The Meaning Or Definition Of Androgynous / Androgyny / Androgyne / Androgenous / Androgenious: The term “androgynous” is derived from “andro,” which means “male or female,” and “gynous,” which means “related to gender,” hence, “andro-gynous” literally means “neither male nor female gender, or both.” The term “androgynous” or “androgyny” or “androgyne” or “androgenous” or “androgenious” is used to describe people who identify themselves as neither male nor female, or as both male and female, or in between masculine and feminine, or simply anyone who does not fit into the binary gender system. Androgyne is also used for a non-binary gender identity that exists somewhere in the middle of the gender spectrum between "male" and "female" presentation and identity. Androgynous is a person who identifies as merged masculine and feminine characteristics as defined by society or mainly neutral characteristics. Androgyne is "neither" as well as "both" when describing gender identities. In a sense, it is both equally “feminine” as well as “masculine,” while being neither of them at the same time. Androgyne people have both male and female characteristics in their appearance, making it challenging for one to figure out the real sex of that person. It is a person who fits both in the physical characteristics, or feels like they are both, a male and female, and some have both male and female parts, while others don't. Androgyne people identify their gender identity as both male and female in a relatively even split, regardless of their sexual characteristics. It may be expressed with respect to sexual identity, gender expression, biological sex, or gender identity. Androgyne is a physical and psychological state of being neither fully male nor fully female; hence, it is a state of possessing specific characteristics of both male and female genders in one's physical appearance. Androgyne is someone who feels they do not perfectly fit into the gender roles as described by society to normal males and females. It overlaps a lot between different gender identification and presentation, and It is the combination of masculine and feminine characteristics combined into an ambiguous form. Androgyne is a gender expression that has elements of both masculinity and femininity, sometimes used in place of “intersex” to describe a person with both male and female anatomy. Androgyne may refer to individuals who think of themselves as non-binary, genderqueer, or gender-neutral. If a genetic male is androgynous, he will seem to possess more typically female traits, and if a genetic female is androgynous, she will appear to possess more typically male traits, both of which can be unintentional. Androgyne people tend to use gender-neutral pronouns; however, that may not always be the case. Androgyne often feels that their gender is beyond the understanding of a common person who is limited by societal factors. Hence, they try to free themselves from those limiting factors by dressing in androgynous clothing, and thereby trying to appear on the exterior as they feel in the interior of their bodies. Androgyne people generally attempt to wear androgynous types of clothing that reflect their gender; however, not all androgyne people dress in this manner, yet that is the general trend. Since the color blue is supposed to be more masculine and the color red is perceived to be more feminine, androgyne would try to dress up in shades of purple, which has elements of both blue and red. Androgynosexual is a person who is sexually attracted to androgynous people, particularly those of androgynous appearance. An androgynosexual person is attracted based upon the appearance of the person as they must look both male and female for them to appear attractive.
